Font manager for True Type and Type 1 fonts

Create royalty-free fonts for print, multimedia, and the Internet.

An outline font editor that lets you create your own postscript, truetype, opentype, cid-keyed, multi-master, cff, svg and bitmap (bdf, FON, NFNT) fonts, or edit existing ones. Also lets you convert one format to another. FontForge has support for many macintosh font formats.

Identifont includes information about fonts from over 200 publishers, including Adobe, Agfa-Monotype, Berthold, Bitstream, Elsner+Flake, FontFont, ITC, Letraset, Linotype, P22, T.26, URW++, and many smaller foundries.

TrueDoc is a software development kit (SDK) from Bitstream that solves the problems associated with fonts in portable documents, electronic publishing, and the electronic delivery of ads--in short, wherever you need to transfer fonts across applications, operating systems, platforms, or devices.

Font smoothing is one of several system enhancements originally included in the Plus! pack for Windows 95

Softy allows you to create and update TrueType and bitmap fonts. It runs under Windows (3.1, 95, 98, NT), and requires a 386 or better. Supported bitmap font formats are at present Windows FON and FNT, and LaserJet SFP and SFL soft fonts.
