Microsystems Laboratories is the applied research and advanced development arm of Sun Microsystems, Inc., with locations in California and Massachusetts. Sun Labs is one of the ways Sun invests in the future -- the Labs is responsible for many of the technology advancements and inventions that have made Sun a technology powerhouse.

SDSC is a world leader in using, innovating and providing information technology to enable advances and new discovery in science and engineering.

The Swedish Institute of Computer Science, SICS, is a non-profit research institute with approx. 90 highly qualified researchers in a wide range of areas, including: future Internet technologies, large scale network-based applications, and human-machine interaction. The research is carried out in close collaboration with industry and the international research community.

CThe CCLRC has two distinct arms - the Chief Executive's Office which is responsible for policy, planning and finance, and a range of business units responsible to the CCLRC and other Research Councils for delivering high quality science and facilities for the academic and industrial research communities.
